গোমা আকাশে
বিষণ্ণতা দিয়ে,
সেউজীয়াবোৰো
ম্লান হৈ পৰে।

নীৰৱ বতাহজাকে
কোনো অজানিত বিষাদ
আনি থয় মনৰ দুৱাৰত—
তেতিয়া তোমাকেই মনত পৰে।

তোমাৰ কবিতাৰ এষাৰি যেন
বৰষুণৰ আগমনী,
তোমাৰ অনুভৱ যেন
মেঘৰ আঁৰত লুকাই থকা
এটি ৰ’দৰ কিৰণ।

এবাৰ মানসপটলৈ আহিবা—
কোনো কথা নক’বা,
মাথোঁ কাষত বহিবা;
সেই মধুৰ সান্নিধ্যত
মোৰ বিষণ্ণ আকাশখন
আকৌ সেউজীয়া হ’ব
আশাবোৰৰ দৰে।

গোমা আকাশৰ তলতো
জীৱন যে সুন্দৰ হ’ব পাৰে,
সেয়া বুজিবলৈ
তোমাৰ হিয়াপৰশা
এটি অনুভৱেই যথেষ্ট।

You Behind the Clouds

The overcast sky
brings a quiet sadness,
and even the greens
begin to lose their glow.

A silent breeze
brings some unnamed sorrow
and leaves it at the door of my heart—
and then, I think of you.

A line from your poem
feels like the arrival of rain,
your presence like
a ray of sunlight
hidden behind the clouds.

Come, just once,
into the landscape of my mind—
say nothing,
just sit beside me;
in that tender warmth of your presence,
my sorrowful sky
will turn green again,
like the return of hope.

Even beneath an overcast sky,
life can still be beautiful—
to understand that,
your heart-touching presence
is all I need.
